With the complete platform redesign underway, I overhauled the outdated rewards system—a key business feature tied to customer purchases and loyalty. I redesigned the rewards setup to reduce confusion and technical friction, and introduced coupons as a new business tool for running promotions and customer incentives—all within a scalable, business-focused system.

The outdated rewards setup and lack of a coupon system directly impacted business success:
Businesses found the rewards setup and copy used is confusing and inconsistent.
Coupons - a feature which was requested by most businesses to run promotions was not existing before.
Lack of guidance caused friction.
The previous onboarding was creating barriers to business success and limiting platform growth. I needed to build a business onboarding flow that solved trust, identity, and usability issues . Since the older app is depreciated, this wasn’t a redesign—it was a complete rebuild.

I designed the first-ever coupon creation system for the platform in direct response to business requests for more flexible, time-sensitive incentives. While the setup process mirrors rewards to reduce friction, coupons are intentionally more adaptable:
